St. Charles Borromeo Athletic Programs include: Basketball, Track, and Cheerleading. If you would like additional info about these programs, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Charles Borromeo Track is open to all St. Charles Borromeo school students as well as St. Charles and Sacred Heart Riverton Religious Education (CCD) students from grades K – 8th. We have our Cruisers program for grades 3 - 8 and our Junior Cruisers program for grades K - 2.
SHORTENED AND MODIFIED SEASON DETAILS
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and Diocesan and League guidelines, we will not be able to compete in-person against other teams for the 2021 spring season. Instead, we will be offering a clinic-type intramural track season, which will include an introduction to the track and field events plus 1 - 2 competitions / meets within our own team.
Practices will be late morning / early afternoon (approximately within the 11:30am to 1:30pm timeframe) every Sunday from April 25th to May 23rd, at Cinnaminson High School. Cruisers (grades 3 - 8) will also have 1 - 2 meets on Friday evenings towards the latter part of the season. Junior Cruisers (grades K - 2) will have 1 meet either during their Sunday practice slot or a Friday evening towards the end of the season.
COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place including hand sanitizers, temperature checks, screening questions, and masks for participants when not performing an activity. We will do our best to keep the participants in small groups and socially distant where possible to minimize close contact for long periods of time.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Our success and ability to proceed during this challenging time will be dependent on volunteers. In order to go ahead with this shortened and modified season, we will need volunteers to help that have been Virtus trained, fingerprinted, and have been approved to volunteer. No track experience is required. We need volunteers to help with keeping kids organized and distanced, performing temp checks, checking in, etc. All details will be provided. The dates would be Sundays from April 25th through May 23rd from approx. 11:30am to 1:30pm (exact times TBD based on number of registrations). We can do 1 or 2 hour shifts. If you are free to help, even for just one week, please reach out to Angie Wojnar at email@example.com with availability for the above dates and times.
Each Cruiser and Junior Cruiser will need to complete their registration on this website. The medical form and payment will be handled online with this registration process. The track registration fee is reduced to $10 per student this season to cover the cost of equipment and items needed to help maintain COVID-19 safety protocols. Team shirts will also be available for anyone who would like them - the cost will be $10 per shirt, and more info about how to get them will be provided. Please complete the online registration by Thursday, April 22nd so we can plan appropriate volunteers.
